The pictorial arrangement of form: has been adopted from the Class-book of Messrs. Andrews and Boyle, while the general and detailed arrangement has been varied, in order to adapt it the better to a purely practical work like the present. In conclusion, the writer would express his indebtedness to Robert Patterson, Esq., for his counsel and assistance throughout the work.
