Master geometry with a clear, practical path through plane geometry, designed for focused study and real understanding.
This edition presents a structured approach to geometric forms, postulates, and theorems, with historical context and careful guidance for accurate drawing. It emphasizes the value of precise work, methodical practice, and logical reasoning, making it useful for both students and teachers.
- Learn the historical development of geometry and how ideas evolved from practical craft to rigorous proof.
- See how ratio, proportion, and similar figures fit into a complete geometric framework.
- Practice with a broad set of exercises that reinforce exact drawing, measurement, and problem solving.
- Explore topics from straight lines and angles to circles, chords, tangents, and coordinate ideas.
Ideal for readers who want a solid foundation in plane geometry, clear explanations, and a well‑organized exercise program.

Excerpt from Plane Geometry
IN this text, as in the Algebra, the authors have at tempted to present the subject-matter in a way more suitable to beginners than is the case in most of the modern books. Brief and concise methods of exposition are therefore largely avoided, especially at the start, and much space is given to the explanation and analysis of theorems and problems, in order to bring out clearly the plan of attack and the method of proof.
In the presentation of theorems, where complete proofs are given, the following plan has been adopted.
