Excerpt from The Spectator, 1908, Vol. 4

Thanks to thee, O worthy sch Thy blessings on us ever! Ma-y no dissension ever ra-g-e And our allegiance sever. For wisdom we have looked to thee And thou our boon hath granted Our portio-n small as yet, indeed, But now the germ is planted. If it matures and waxes great To th-cc the praise is due; For we have only struggled on And thou hast brought us through. Than-ks yet aga-i-n we ofier thee! The only boon we can bestow Except to walk uprightly on And scorn the thing that's base or low.
