Mastering solid geometry for the classroom This comprehensive text introduces the geometry of space with clear explanations, progressive proofs, and practical practice. It blends theory with worked examples and a long list of exercises to reinforce understanding of three‑dimensional shapes.
The book covers lines, planes, and angles in space, then builds to polyhedrons, prisms, pyramids, cylinders, cones, and spheres. It emphasizes a consistent method for mensuration, develops area and volume formulas, and guides the reader through complex figures with step‑by‑step reasoning. An end‑of‑book formulas section and an appendix support study and teaching alike.

Excerpt from Solid Geometry
IN addition to the features of the Plane Geometry, which are emphasized in the Solid as well, the chief characteristic of this book is the establishment, at every point, of the vital relation between the Solid and the Plane Geometry. Many theorems in Solid Geometry have been proved, and many problems have been solved, by reducing them to a plane, and simply applying the corresponding principle of Plane Geometry. Again, many proofs of Plane Geometry have been made to serve as proofs of corresponding theorems in Solid Geometry by merely mak ing the proper changes in terms used.
