She ceased, and I was left alone, unguided, A little cradled child, to choose between Power and Fame - alas alas divided Why should these mighty goddesses be seen? Why should not Fame and Power, like smiling Graces, Wander along the earth to woo and win '4 Why should not he who seeks the bright embraces Of Power, gain them but by aid of Sin!
