Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book introduces a method to calculate the depth image of an object from the ratio of two intensity images. The proposed method uses a look-up table for fast computation, achieving a depth resolution of approximately 0.5 mm for an 1-meter workspace, which is sufficient for shape analysis and object recognition. The author describes the mathematical basis of the method and provides a step-by-step guide to implement it using the VICOM image processing computer. Moreover, the book discusses calibration procedures, implementation details, and presents representative results. Overall, this book offers a comprehensive approach to depth image computation using the ratio image method, providing valuable insights for researchers and practitioners in computer vision and image processing.
