My thanks are due to George H. W'yman Jr.. For many of the detailed points of information given, and to him should be given much credit for the solution of the flotation problem at the Standard silver-lead Mining Co's mill, and also in the Slocan mining dis triet.

Surveys of the available water power throughout British Columbia show that hp. May be readily developed from the streams of that province. Of this amount only about 8% is utilized up to the present time.

March imports of precious stones totaled 296, against in March, 1915, an increase of Imports for 9 months were in 1916, in 1915, and in 1914.
