The Alaskan Mining Industry in 1915 presents an annual summary of mining industry developments in Alaska, as well as an in-depth study of the geologic features of certain districts. This particular volume takes a broad view of economic geology as it pertains to mining, with an eye toward identifying those geological characteristics which have an immediate and practical interest for mining operations. The author emphasizes the practical application of their conclusions, which will be expanded upon in later reports. A discussion of administrative matters precedes the body of the text. The subsequent papers are arranged geographically, proceeding from south to north. Three papers focus on southeastern Alaska, one on the Copper River basin, one on Prince William Sound, two on the Cook Inlet-Susitna region, three on the Yukon basin, one on the Yukon-Kuskokwim region, and one provides a general investigation which encompasses southeastern Alaska, the Yukon basin, and Seward Peninsula.
