Je tirai, tirai, mais mon cigare ne voulut point se rallumer. Ce fut pour moi la pre mière occasion de constater l'un des traits du caractère de mon interlocuteur: une façon obligeante et autorisée de faire des predic tions que l'événement se gardait toujours de réaliser.
