I drew up a few observations on the modes of forming an artificial pupil, adapted to the different states, to which the eye may be reduced by disease. A desire, however, to attain such a degree of experience, as might enable me to speak, with confidence, of the results of different operations, has been the principal inducement to delay, till the present time, the publication of what I deem to be, in a great measure.
