Excerpt from The Principles of Effective Debating

The Extension Division of The University of Wisconsin maintains a department of Debating and Public Discussion. This department, and instructors of the department of Rhetoric and Oratory, desire to do all they can to further the interests of the various literary and debating organizations of the state. With this in view the University has already published several bulletins, some of which cover the general subjects of debating, while others furnish bibliographies and outlines for special topics of debate.
