Yet it is possible to find geniuses so clever that they are not particularly anxious to be normal, who will go through a course Of treatment just to satisfy their friends: one may fail to cure under such conditions.

All I desire from readers, critics, and reviewers is that they shall scan these pages very seriously, and with an open mind, for I have earnestly endeavoured to put before them what I have confidence will be found helpful material in furtherance of medical science.
