It is now nearly three years since I commenced the investigation of this subject. I was then a student in Union Theological Seminary, New York, and had, for some time past, been giving special attention to the study of the Epistle to the Romans. We were engaged on the last part of the seventh chapter, when one day the thought came into my mind that verse 18, For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing, might have a meaning new to me, and which, if correct, would enable me to solve a problem which had often puzzled me, viz., how it was that the behever was freed from sin at the instant of death.

Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the doctrine of sin's influence on the regenerate, offering a fresh perspective that challenges traditional views. The author argues that sin, in the case of the regenerate, resides not in the soul but in the physical body. Through a rigorous examination of biblical texts, the book presents evidence to support this claim, demonstrating that sin's effects on the regenerate are primarily manifested through the body's influence on the soul. This doctrine has significant implications for understanding the nature of sin, the process of sanctification, and the relationship between soul and body in the regenerate. The author's insights provide a deeper understanding of the complexities of human nature and the ongoing struggle against sin, shedding light on the path towards spiritual growth and transformation.
