As to the sentiments advanced, the author makes no apology for them, nor does he claim any indol gence from his readers. He has appealed to the scriptures, and to this test he desires his views to be brought for examination. If they are found to be false, no one can wish more sincerely than himself to see their falsity detected. If true, they are of too much importance, and God's character is too much concerned, to be treated with indifference by judicious men. If God never threatened men with endless misery in hell, it places his character in a very differ ent light from that in which it is generally viewed.

Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book challenges a long-held tenet of Christianity, offering a new perspective on the concept of hell. The author presents an exhaustive study of scriptural texts from both the Old and New Testaments, arguing that Sheol of the Old Testament and Hades of the New Testament do not signify eternal punishment. Instead, they refer to the state of the dead, with no context connecting them to endless misery. The author contends that the idea of Gehenna, the place of eternal punishment as commonly believed, was developed later and is not rooted in the Old Testament. This groundbreaking book offers a fresh examination of a fundamental Christian belief, opening up new avenues for understanding the nature of God and divine justice.
