In the present Edition the Author has corrected some errors and supplied some defects, which remained undiscovered until after the original publication of the Treatise; and has also added some new matter which he trusts will render the Work more complete. The Chapters on Evidence, and on the Action as between Landlord and Tenant, have been enlarged; and in the practical part of the Work several manuscript cases have been introduced. An alteration has also been adopted in the arrangement of the Chapters; and at the suggestion of several professional friends, and by the kind permission of Mr. Tidd, those practical forms, to which the Author referred in the Preface to the first edition form aa Appendix to the present volume.

Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the ins and outs of ejectment, an action in law for recovering possession of land. It traces the progression of ejectment from its inception as a simple action to recover damages for a leaseholder who'd been evicted, into the ubiquitous procedure for trying possessory titles in the present day. Through its detailed analysis, the book highlights the crucial role ejectment has played in the development of our legal system, explaining how it gradually filled the void left by the decline of real actions and became the go-to method for resolving property disputes. The author underscores the adaptability of ejectment, showing how it has consistently evolved to meet society's changing needs, from the feudal era to the intricacies of modern real estate law. By shedding light on the historical and practical significance of ejectment, this book unveils the inner workings of a legal mechanism that has shaped the way we conceive and protect property rights.
