Excerpt from The Canadian Monthly and National Review, Vol. 2: July to December
We continue to welcome contributions, especially such as are either amusing or practically interesting. Essays of a more general kind are not unacceptable, but we can afford them only a limited space. We prefer short tales to serials, but we welcome every description of fiction, from the domes tic novel to the fairy tale. Humour in any form is as acceptable as it is rare.
