< p>Experience a richly melodic tour through dramatic scenes and lyric poems from Barry Cornwall. This collection blends theatrical dialogue with evocative verse, weaving history, romance, and imagination into a single volume.
Readers will encounter vivid stage sketches, elegant lyric meditations, and glimpses of Italian and English landscapes. The pieces unfold like scenes on a gallery wall, inviting reflection as they shift from dialogue to song and back again.
Ideal for readers who enjoy poetry with dramatic cadence and richly drawn atmospheres, and for fans of classic, stage-infused verse.

Excerpt from Dramatic Scenes: With Other Poems
Of the following "Dramatic Scenes," some were written thirty, and the others forty years ago: the first six scenes (published in 1819 and 1820) being now materially condensed and altered.
The Miscellaneous Poems, constituting "Part the Third" in the present volume, have never been before printed. With the exception of three small pieces of verse, they bear date many years back. They have, however, been corrected, in some instances completed, more recently.
In all probability, this book is the last with which I shall try the patience of the Public.

The poems cover a range of themes, including love, loss, ambition, and the search for meaning in life.
