Sinopsis

This book provides the indispensable text of the Criminal Code and Canada Evidence Act, as originally passed, and from time to time amended, and, with alterations in the arrangement and renumbering of the sections of each, has been re-enacted as separate chapters of the new Revised Statutes, all in one comprehensive volume. Through a concordance between the numbering of the sections of the Criminal Code and other Acts, the reader can examine the omission, addition, or change in the law, as contained in the current Revised Statutes. A similar system is adopted between the numbering of the sections of the old Acts, and those of the corresponding chapters of the New Revised Statutes, in respect to the Canada Evidence Act. The latest decisions upon the law contained in both Acts are also cited and annotated. All important judicial decisions, rendered since the publication of the author's second edition, are cited and annotated under the sections of the Acts to which they relate; and some decisions rendered prior to but not cited and annotated in the second edition are likewise included. As well, this book contains the Alien Labour Act, the Fugitive Offenders Act, the Extradition Act, and a part of the Yukon Act.
