Excerpt from Studies in the Psalms
The present volume is published in accordance with the wish expressed by Dr. Driver, shortly before his death, that I should bring together and edit his scattered studies on the Psalms. He expressly mentioned the articles entitled 'The Method of Studying the Psalter,' which appeared in the Expository January-July, 1910, the article on the Prayer Book Version of the Psalter which he contributed to the Prayer Book Dictionary, and the sermon (hitherto unpublished) on the 'Imprecatory' Psalm cix. To these I have added other sermons on the Psalms, selected from unpublished sermons which were placed at my disposal by Mrs. Driver. These are all the sermons on the Psalms which he left, except such as had already been utilized by him for the Expositor articles.
