In tracing the causes now in operation, which must rapidly propel the work of Africa's civilization, we find that the facts may be brought most forcibly to view, by contrasting the present relations of Free Labor to Slave Labor, in the cultivation of those tropical and semi tropical products, upon which slave labor has been and is now chiefly employed.
