The author, a professor of Christian theology, seeks to challenge the idea that a fully committed Christian can believe in the incarnation of Jesus Christ whilst rejecting the miraculous occurrences recorded in the Gospels. The author suggests that we reject a narrow definition of miracles as only being events that are contrary to nature. Instead, we should view them as events that suggest the presence of divine intervention.
