Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the complexities of social order and the need for a new, unifying philosophy for Western civilization. The author, a keen observer of history, argues that the intellectual revolution of the 18th century has left society in a state of anarchy, where reason has failed to provide a stable foundation for morality. He proposes a new system, called Positivism, which emphasizes the role of the heart, or feeling, in guiding reason. He champions a society where love and compassion are the paramount principles, rather than the pursuit of pure intellect. The book explores the author's personal journey towards this system, weaving in a poignant account of his enduring love for a woman who profoundly impacted his life. The author argues that true progress can only be achieved through a comprehensive understanding of both social order and progress, and the role of women and the working class in shaping these aspects of society. This book provides a fascinating and enduring testament to the power of human connection and the pursuit of a more harmonious and just society. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. Nº de ref. del artículo: 9781330770054_0
