Rl-PRHSHNT.VnVIiS. Aprit. 1. 1800.Mr. Sherjian. Iv. Speaker, it becomes my sad duty to announce the demise of Hon. David Wilber, of New York. The lanii of liis life, wliicli for months has hccii failinix, today went out. The time is not here to speak his eulogy. At some future time I shall ask the House to turn aside from its business to pay fitting tribute to liis memoiy. For the present I offer the resolutions which 1 send to tlie Clerks desk. The Clerk read as follows: Resuhvd. That tlie House Iia.s learued with profound regret of the death of Hon. David Wilber, a Representative from tlie State of New York. Resolved by the House of Representatives the Senate coiiviirrutg). That a special ooniiuittee of seven members of the House of Reiiresentatives and three members of the Senate be appointed to take order for attending his funeial at his residence in the State of New York; and the nei-essary peusi Sattending the e.xecution of this order siiall be payable out of first funds in the contingent fund of the House available therefor. That the Sergeant-at-Arms of the House be authorized and directed to take such steps as may be necessaiy for properly carrying out the provisions of this resolution. Resolved. That the Clerk communicate tlie foregoing resolutions (othe Senate. Rcsohvd. That as a furtheriiiaik of respect to tlie nieiuory of the deceaseil the House do now ailjourn. The resoUitions were unanimously agreed to.
