Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book approaches the study of logic from a philosophical perspective, arguing that it is both a science and an art, and inextricably linked to the study of psychology. The author presents a comprehensive study of the mental faculties, providing a breakdown of cognitive, feeling, and conative divisions, as well as a detailed examination of the nature of logic. The book traces the history of logical thought through the works of famous philosophers such as Aristotle and Kant, weaving in the author's own insights on formal sciences and their place in our understanding of reality. Of particular note is the book's exploration of the three stages of progress in inductive science, from observation and experiment through induction to the formulation of widely applicable laws. The author's examination of the nature of general words and the distinctions between connotative and non-connotative terms provides a framework for understanding the complex nature of language and its role in human cognition. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. Nº de ref. del artículo: 9781330585405_0
