Sinopsis

A stirring call to link faith with national purpose through home missions. This historical sermon argues that true patriotism grows when a nation’s strength is braided with biblical values and worldwide compassion, urging readers to support evangelism at home and beyond.

In 1851, a preacher invites Americans to see their resources and influence as a platform for spreading the Gospel. The message links national prosperity to spiritual renewal, and it challenges readers to invest in churches, schools, and missions that reach every nation.

The text frames the American Home Missionary Society as essential to both domestic peace and global evangelization, urging practical action, charitable giving, and steadfast faith in a world-sized mission.

  • Understand how faith, patriotism, and philanthropy are woven together in the call for home missions.

  • Explore the idea that national strength rests on religious institutions and ethical leadership.

  • Consider how modern readers might support ministry, literacy, and outreach at home and abroad.
