The author claims that Christian ethics, unlike pagan ethics, focus on meekness, forgiveness, detachment from worldly pursuits, and a belief in a future heavenly existence. The author asserts that these Christian virtues are essential for attaining salvation, which is the central goal of the Christian faith.
