There are so many books on Hoses m existence that the only excuses for writing another likely to find acceptance with the public are (1) that it is a great deal better than existing ones, or (2) very different in point of style.
To plead No. 1 would be the height of presumption, considering the eminence of the several rosarians whose names are familiar 03 writers, but with No. 2 I may stand a chance.
