Sinopsis

The Other Side Of The Money Question, written by James Arthur Fulton and originally published in 1908, explores the topic of money from a unique perspective. Rather than focusing solely on economics and finance, Fulton delves into the philosophical, moral, and social implications of money and its role in society. The book is divided into three main sections. The first section examines the history of money and its evolution over time. Fulton discusses the origins of money, the development of currency systems, and the rise of banking and credit. The second section of the book explores the impact of money on society. Fulton discusses the ways in which money affects social relationships, including issues of power, inequality, and corruption. He also examines the psychological effects of money on individuals, including greed, envy, and anxiety. The final section of the book offers a critique of the current monetary system and proposes alternative approaches to money and finance. Fulton argues that the current system is unsustainable and that a new approach is needed that prioritizes social and environmental well-being over profit and growth.Throughout the book, Fulton draws on a range of sources, including historical accounts, economic theory, and philosophical texts, to provide a comprehensive and thought-provoking analysis of the role of money in society. The Other Side Of The Money Question is a timeless work that continues to be relevant today, offering insights into the complex and often controversial topic of money and its impact on our world. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Those who would invade such a field are supposed to tread very softly and be very reluctant to advance anything different from the general average of what has already been written upon the subject. That precaution is one that would be very pertinent if there was somewhat of a consensus of opinion among the established authors, but in the subject of money, though tens of thousands of books, pamphlets and tracts have been issued and countless columns of newspaper space been utilized by scores and scores of writers, the views expressed are so varied and contradictory that the comparatively inexperienced may, without apology and even with some degree of confidence, venture into the field, in the hope that he may present something that will help in some degree to bring about that which the established authors have signally failed to produce after years of voluminous writings. The text of the pamphlet will, I hope, be sufficiently clear to not require any explanatory treatment in advance. It endeavors to present in a definite form some of the most salient features of the money question, as such question, in the authors
