Sinopsis

Hints For Some Improvements In The Authorized Version Of The New Testament is a book written by James Scholefield and published in 1857. The book is a critique of the Authorized Version of the New Testament, also known as the King James Version, and provides suggestions for improvements to the translation. Scholefield, a British clergyman and scholar, argues that certain passages in the Authorized Version are ambiguous or misleading, and proposes changes to the wording to better reflect the original Greek text. The book includes detailed analysis of specific verses and passages, as well as broader discussions of translation theory and methodology. While not widely adopted, Scholefield's suggestions have influenced subsequent revisions of the King James Version and other English translations of the New Testament. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
