Believing that this employment constitutes an essential portion of Divine Worship, the Missionary Board of the Canadian Wesleyan Church have authorised the publication of the following Hymns. Future labourers may throw more poetry into productions of a similar class, but not more Scriptural truth, according to the light and knowledge of the faithful and exemplary missionary to whom this race of converted Indians are indebted for this translation.
