Chapters are entitled: Part 1: as prophet or priest; as wizard or witch; as inventors of the arts and crafts; hermaphrodism among gods and mortals; Part 2: Dorian military comradeship; its relation to the status of woman; its relation to civic life and religion; samurai of Japan, their ideal.
