Yamin-Ali shows how schools can undertake responsible decision-making through gathering and analyzing data, using as examples six fully developed case studies that shed light on common questions of school culture and student life, including student stress, subject selection, and the issue of teacher gender in single-sex classes. Each of the six reports immerses the reader in a deeper understanding of the issue as treated within the field of education internationally. Data, examination of the pertinent literature in the field, methodology of each case study, findings, and discussion provide a descriptive report of the research capability and potential for data-driven decision-making in these schools, using participants’ voices and statistics from the data collected.
