Later chapters are devoted to the sisters' education and their literary output, seeking to understand their extraordinary creativity amid the difficult circumstances of their life. This extensive biography of the Bronte sisters, written by Esther Alice Chadwick (c.1882) and published in 1914, examines the lives of Charlotte (181655), Emily (181848) and Anne (182049) through their work and letters, and seeks to understand the inspiration for their unique literary output.
