The series is designed to educate the reader in an interactive yet entertaining manner through exposure to "primary sources" that were available mostly as elements of American pop culture during the childhood years of their grandparents and great-grandparents! In their day, especially the 1930's through the 1970's, they were heavily influenced by sources like dime novels, movies, radio programs, comic books, and television. Thus, this series will attempt to focus our learning about the Wild West by way of paper-pencil activities based upon information that can be gleaned from a sampling of those resources.
