This book is intended for anyone, who is interested in knowing about securing computer networks. This book is about networks: monitoring them, studying them, and using the results of those studies to improve them. Networks are under siege from many different types of threat, including Internet-based hackers, worms, phone phreaks, and wireless assailants. We have divided the book into the small chapters so that the topics can be arranged properly. The topics within the chapters have been arranged in a proper sequence to ensure smooth flow of the subject. This book is divided into 8 chapters. First chapter explains the basics of computer networks. In second chapter we have discussed the OSI and TCP/IP Reference model. In the third chapter the network connectivity issues and how to check the connectivity has been discussed. In fourth chapter we have given the overview of Network Security. In Fifth chapter various types of attacks have been discussed and how these attacks can be maneuvered. In sixth chapter the concept of Information Security is discussed. In seventh chapter how security can be managed and basics of cryptography is explained. In the last chapter we explained about cloud security.
