Have you ever felt like you were running from a past you could never escape?
For years, Xiaorong Deng lived as a ghost in her own story. Haunted by her mother’s suicide, her stepmother’s rejection, and the guilt of not being by her father’s side in his final days, she built a fortress of resilience. But inside, a voice whispered a devastating secret: You are not good enough. You will never truly belong.
But when she became a mother, she knew she had to break the cycle. She had to face the past—or risk passing her wounds onto her daughter.
I AM GOOD is a raw and hopeful memoir about the journey to reclaim the girl within and finally find peace. Spanning continents and generations, this story is a powerful testament to the courage it takes to heal a partnership, break generational cycles, and rewrite your own story.
This is more than a memoir—it is a roadmap to help you:
