“David Gerrold is simply one of the finest science-fiction writers ever, and in this collection of his most-personal stories — including the Hugo Award-winning classic “The Martian Child” — he lets us peek into his very soul. Moving, heart-wrenching, and ultimately uplifting, Shadows and Reflections will leave you breathless.”
—Robert J. Sawyer, Hugo Award-winning author of The Downloaded
Hugo & Nebula Award winner David Gerrold shares a series of daring adventures inspired by events from his own life. Junkies seek a new kick with devastating consequences. A time "raveler" accepts a mission that may change him as much as it changes time. In a world literally going dark, a young man resists the light. And a child who might well be a Martian, and who can make wishes come true, makes his most important wish of all. In this deeply honest collection of short fiction, one of science fiction's most incisive voices assures us with conviction that "...there is still good in this world and it’s worth living for.
