Sinopsis

There's nothing quite like the cottage-where mornings begin with mist rising off the lake, afternoons drift by with paddles and paperbacks, and evenings are filled with laughter, campfires, and stars.

This anthology is designed to be your perfect lakeside companion. Inside, you'll find:

  • Captivating short stories set in cottages, cabins, and small towns.
  • Puzzles and games to enjoy on rainy afternoons or lazy hammock days.
  • Quirky humour and heartfelt moments that capture the spirit of cottage life.

Whether you're flipping through with your morning coffee, leaving it out for guests, or gifting it to the cottage-lover in your life, this collection is made to be shared and savored.

Pull up a chair on the dock, pour yourself another cup, and let Canoes & Coffee keep you company.

Acerca de los autores

Kenneth Roland grew up in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. He attended Westdale Primary School, West Park Secondary School and Niagara College Tertiary School. He has worked at a newspaper, pre-press shop, real estate office and ran his own tech company for 7 years. He now works in Waterloo, Ontario for tech startups, caring for and helping to create the culture of the tech world. He lives in Kitchener with his wife.

Stephen Young is a Canadian writer and judo instructor whose speculative fiction explores the quiet tensions between the ordinary and the uncanny. His short stories "Till We Meet Again" and "Flytrap" appear in this collection. When not writing or teaching, he works as a 911 operator and occasionally remembers to sleep.

Dorian Blackwood is an aspiring author who grew up devouring books of all genres. Over time they were particularly drawn to darker tales, gothic novels and weird fiction. These stories introduced them to beings out of space and time, haunted houses, haunted people, and paintings that could capture the soul. When not reading, they love to sit down and tell stories with friends through table-top roleplay games. If they're not doing that, they can be found sewing up a storm in their craft room!
