Sinopsis

Veritas Et Aequitas Constitutionis Unigenitus Theologice Demonstrata Seu 101. Quenelli Propositiones Confutatae presents a theological defense of the papal bull "Unigenitus," promulgated by Pope Clement XI in 1713. Authored by Joannes-Baptista Caers, Joannes Baptsita van Mutsege, Joannes Franciscus Bruynsteen, and Phillipus-Erardus Vander Noot, the work meticulously refutes 101 propositions associated with Pasquier Quesnel, a Jansenist theologian. Written in Latin, this volume offers a detailed examination of the theological controversies surrounding "Unigenitus," a key document in the history of the Catholic Church's response to Jansenism. It provides valuable insight into the theological and political debates of the 18th century, making it an essential resource for scholars of church history and theology.
