"If you enjoyed Orwell’s 1984, Huxley’s Brave New World, or even Pixar’s Wall-e there is something for you in Nate Ragolia’s The Retroactivist. ... a tribute to what Indie Authors have to offer." - JOSH JONES, Introvert PressIt’s 2087. Mankind has eradicated war, poverty, and jobs. Robots now perform all work. Humans live free to strive for pure happiness and aesthetic perfection. Everyone except for Reid Rosales. Unhappy with joy, unfulfilled by satisfaction, in the throes of a creative slump, Reid longs for something –anything– to help him rise above the easy pleasures of humanity’s perfected society. Reid thinks he’s the only one, until he stumbles on Club 20c, a twentieth-century nostalgia club. There he finds his calling in the long-lost virtues of a harder life… but at what cost?

Nate Ragolia was labeled as "weird" early in elementary school by a little blonde girl he liked, and it stuck. He's a lifelong lover of science fiction and a nerd/geek. His first book, There You Feel Free, was published by 1888center's Black Hill Press in 2015. A year later, he founded BONED: A Collection of Skeletal Writings. And in 2017, he co-founded Spaceboy Books LLC. Nate also creates webcomics, writes essays and articles, and pets dogs. He can usually be found in Denver, CO.
Amanda Hardebeck has been a sci-fi & film addict since birth. When her older brother handed her a copy of Dune for her birthday 20 years ago, her passion for science fiction took off. She is a roller derby referee for her hometown team and is Chief Editor for Spaceboy Books LLC.
TJ Stambaugh received several commendations for his bravery as a battalion commander in the Meme Wars. After the war, TJ retired to Catonsville, MD, where he paints, enjoys movies you have to read, and is Art Director for Spaceboy Books LLC.
