COYOTE WISDOM VISITS BROOKLYN AND TRAVELS THE UNIVERSE is a memoir consisting of original linked short stories. They trace my discovery of a deep, spirited rapport, spoken and unspoken, between humans and animals based on my encounters in the Sonora Desert, the Texas Hill Country, Brooklyn and Toronto. I first met Coyote in Central Texas, and soon afterwards, in the Sonora Desert around Tucson. She gave me a new perspective on life that I came to call Coyote Wisdom. While these yarns may seem like magic realism, they are based on real life adventures and unexpected events that transformed the ordinary into the wondrous. "Aesop's Fables for a new age."

Mallory Blair Randle has been an artist and teacher in clay for over four decades. Before that he wrote numerous articles about art and artists for Southwestern Art and The Handbook of Texas, until he decided he would rather make art than write about people who did. Always he attempted to pass along whatever he knew as soon as possible, and this book is a continuation of that impulse. He hopes you enjoy reading these stories, as much as he has enjoyed telling them, every time. Randle currently resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife Kathie and a tuxedo cat.
