Neil Watson is something of a local celebrity around his home town of Wivenhoe, in Essex. The former salesman and magazine entrepreneur, who once mentored pop star Sam Smith, has made a habit of authoring novels crowd funded by friends and associates eager to be included as characters in his books. His first venture into fiction writing, Muddy Water, was conceived and created on a boat on the Essex tidal estuary where he lives with his artist wife Jane. The ideal environment is obviously foremost in his mind when writing. His most recent crime thriller, Florida Key, was often penned at the writers retreat in Montolieu, France, he owns and rents in the Village of Books . When not being a novelist, Neil is consumed by his interest in classic motor vehicles and music. He is possibly the world s biggest Harry Nilsson fan.
