Shawna J Peterson grew up and still resides in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She and her husband David have been together since 1989 and love travelling as well as socializing with family and friends. She also enjoys spending time with her 29-year-old stepson, Eric. Shawna's experience as a 25-year Canadian Federal Public Servant spans from Human Resources, Civil Aviation and Emergency Management. An avid football fan, Shawna enjoys watching the CFL, specifically the Winnipeg Blue Bombers with her best friend Teresa. Shawna regularly attends and volunteers at her local church. Her fun loving, edgy spirit is evident in all areas of her life. Shawna is one of four children in the Derksen family, although she lost her brother in 2010, which officially makes her the baby of the clan. After the loss of her mother in 2013, she decided it was time to fulfill a life-long dream of publishing a memoir-style book. "I'm Speeding Because I Have to Poop!" was published in November 2015 and she plans to write a second book in the "Dumping with the Derksen's" series in 2017 with more fun and entertaining memories of growing up and adult experiences.
