'Herman and the Magical Bus to...The Villes' series is a charming set of children's books that promote problem solving skills. Written by TV Personality,Martin Roberts. The Villes are aimed at 6-10 year olds and bridge the gap between picture led story books and early chapter books. The rather eccentric central character, Herman takes himself each day to the bus stop ready for an adventure, and each day the big red, magical bus arrives to take him to one of The Villes. Here he finds the residents in quite a troubling situation... In Tiredsville, all the locals are always tired but why? In Fullsville, they are always full up, but what is causing this? In Hotsville, the temperature is tropical all day long, but why is this? With help from a variety of side kicks and larger than life characters, Herman manages to solve the mystery as to WHY things aren't as they should be. Of course, the reason behind the problem is something whimsical and amusing and Herman gently manages to solve the issue and put everything right - making a few friends as he does so. Children love to try and work it what is causing the problem before Herman does. 'Sadsville' is a special book within the series, written especially for the NSPCC and promotes Childline. Martin has established a UK registered charity, The Martin Roberts Foundation (www.martinrobertsfoundation.org) as a vehicle to raise national funding and sponsorship to enable a FREE copy of Sadsville to be given out to every Year 4 child in the UK. Martin Roberts (www.martinroberts.co.uk) is one of the UK's most respected property, travel and lifestyle TV presenters and journalists. He is best known as presenter on the BBC1's hit daytime property show, `Homes Under The Hammer', which has been running for over 15 years. Martin has written property books; `Making Money From Property' and `The Property Auction Guide', both condensing his years of experience developing property personally and visiting thousands of homes up and down the country. His property training courses, based on these books, have enabled thousands of ordinary people to become successful property investors. His series of children's books called `The Villes' (www.thevilles.com)ar ethe adventure of a rather unusual character, Herman, who boards a magical red double decker bus to be transported to a far off land where something is amiss. For example, in Tiredsville, everyone is tired and as an outsider, Herman is able to find out why and rectifies the problem. Aimed at readers aged 6-10, The Villes promote problem solving amongst children. His charity, The Martin Roberts Foundationaims to raise money to distribute 'Sadsville' for free to year 5 & 6 school children. Martin took part in "I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here...!' in 2016. As a result of making some dramatic changes during his time in the jungle, Martin set up 'Achieve' an annual Expo and movement to bring the worlds of Health, Wealth and Happiness together. World class speakers and celebrities such as Ruby Wax, Frank Bruno, Sir Ranolph Fiennes and Dale Pinnock came to the city of Bath in October 2017 as part of the first Achieve weekend.
