God’s Questions to Us is a book of devotional reflections based on questions that come from God, Jesus and angels to people throughout the entire Bible. Don N. Johnson, currently pastor at Montecito Covenant Church, Santa Barbara, CA grew aware, while reading through the Bible, of the number of times questions in the Bible come from God to humans. During Johnson’s own devotional reading, these questions captured his attention and imagination. What does it mean to have God and Jesus asking the questions? While Johnson identified over 500 distinct questions of God in the Bible, he selected 365 of the most provocative ones for each day of the year. Johnson provides his own reflections as thought starters for the reader. The real value in this book is the gathering together of these many questions. These questions can operate on multiple levels of meaning to bring their own devotional delight to the reader. The questions help the reader to engage God in a new and creative way.
