This book features Zachary and his resident Angel who, along with some very special friends, help Zachary be as good as he can be. Angel makes her home near the thinking spot in Zachary’s mind. Her favorite chore there? Helping. Any variety of helper friends arrive nightly but none so grand as the magnificent three-colored Wizard, whose magical cape blasts glitter dust containing good-as-you-can-be powers. The story offers a guided visualization into well-being and has its origins in the real experience of the author’s son. As an infant Zachary was diagnosed with Alport Syndrome, a genetic disorder associated with kidney failure and hearing loss in later years. The prognosis presented the gift of time---time to dwell on the spirit-lifting benefit of positive thinking. Such thinking prompted Zachary’s mother to create the bedtime storytelling adventures of Angel, Wizard and Zachary’s helper friends in the hope that others find this good-as-you-can-be imagery beneficial as well.
