Acerca del autor

Debra Alessandra, educator, consultant, counselor, mother, and author of 12 Steps 12 Stories has spent most of her adult life in the company of children. With a double major in Sociology and Elementary Education, Alessandra’s extensive teaching career ranges from elementary to high school. Her work in the drug and alcohol field includes providing services to adults and children. From groups for children of alcoholics and prevention programs Debra currently presents a 'Family Dynamics' program to those impacted by the stress of addiction where she places special emphasis on the needs of children living in stressful family systems. The Magic of Roots and Stars is created to assist children who live with someone other than their biological mother. She believes children can benefit from sharing stories of strength and hope to help them accept and make peace with their lives.
