This paper is presented as a work of social science investigating shamanic ritual and changes of shamanic ritual in relation to cultural conflict and change. Fundamentally this is a story about people, a human drama whose main characters came from radically different cultural backgrounds to find and tread the path of the shaman. R. E. Day Jr met Eve Eaton in 1976 which started a lifelong study of Metis Shamanism. Most of the people mentioned in this book have passed on, luckily the knowledge didn't go with them. After 35 years of secrecy, the vast power and deep mystery of the Northern Paiute healing ritual can be divulged
