Sinopsis

Inspired by Robert Frost and Emily Dickinson, Eugene O'Connor's most recent collection of poems takes up nature and the fact that "There is a power to plain objects." In three parts--Darkness, Light; Cinders, Hostages; and Ice Floes, Salt--O'Connor takes up the lessons of nature, the hard truths of death, and the forbearance in the face of both where life is found.
