Quest is a 30-day devotional booklet aimed at 6-to-10-year-old children with a military parent who is deployed. The devotions help children focus their prayers and work through some of the not-so-easy times during their parent’s absence. Most importantly, Quest helps children to know they are not alone. The Lord is beside them on their journey. This booklet of prayers also provides space to journal along with an alphabetized word from Psalm 145 (Awesome, Bless, Commend, etc.). The journal concludes with a four-day set of devotions which explains the gospel.

Bea Fishback and her husband, Jim, raised their two children in a home of military transitions, separations, and learned that strangers became family at each assignment. They have continued to be a part of military families as they’ve ministered for over twenty-one years while serving both internationally and within the United States with the Military Ministry of Cru. Elizabeth Tyrrell has experienced military life as a daughter, wife and mother for over five decades. Her journey continues as she cares for families of military members who are currently deployed. (You will note she said nothing about her love of chocolate, cats, reading, gardening, poetry and the Lord.)
